Creating Smiles for 'Africa!'
Big Hearts creating Big Smiles Creating Smiles for Africa™ Children born with facial deformities such as Cleft Lip / Palate often face immense challenges in performing everyday activities like breathing, eating, and speaking. Beyond the physical difficulties, the emotional and psychological impact can be devastating. Social stigma frequently leads to isolation, and in some cases, children are abandoned due to misconceptions surrounding their condition. The Wentworth Foundation is committed to providing hope, healing, and support to children and their families who are affected. We nurture our patients in an environment of compassion, positivity, and resilience, recognizing that treatment and rehabilitation often require years of dedicated care. Through the expertise and commitment of a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals, we aim to transform lives, restoring not only health and function but also confidence and self-worth. Our vision is for every child to leave our care with a smile worthy of Africa, empowered to embrace their future and make a positive impact within their families and communities. The Wentworth Foundation is a registered South African Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) with Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status, B-BBEE recognition, and independently audited financial governance. We are dedicated to the treatment, rehabilitation, and support of indigent children born with facial deformities such as Cleft Lip / Palate. |
